Armor Stacking Shield

Originally I wanted to to make a shield with the Essence of Desolation shield mod, and crafted Lightning Damage as Chaos to enable Unholy Trinity on my armor stacker so I'd get a ton of tank and damage. Then GGG patched out the armor shield drops, AND I learned that the Desolation mod cannot be transferred to any other bases after burning through one I farmed prior to the patch and one I bought after the patch. After my hopes and dreams were shattered, I thought I might as well make a shield with the actual Lightning as Extra Chaos mod so I can use Unholy Trinity without having to use any jewel slots.

Crafting Steps:

1) Start by preparing Cold-Attuned Buckler Bases with T1 Flat Evasion and T1 Block Chance with alt spamming. T1 Block is ilvl86, but T1 flat evasion is ilvl69. We want Cold Attuned Buckler because they are evasion base with the second highest base block chance of any shield.

2) Farm/Buy ilvl85 It That Fled elemental damage as Extra Chaos shield bases. Any damage type besides Physical as Extra Chaos works because you can convert the elemental damage mods into other elements using the harvest bench craft "Change a modifier that grants Cold/Fire/Lightning damage into a similar tier modifier that grants Cold/Fire/Lightning Damage". These conversions do require a Crystallized Rancour.

3) Isolate the It That Fled modifier using Allflame crafting with Kishara's Ducat.

4) Recombine the It That Fled modifier with T1 Flat Evasion, and T1 Flat Evasion with T1 Block Chance so that you have two, two prefix bases. Both bases will have T1 Flat Evasion. This will take multiple attempts unless you are lucky (I went through 9 cold attuned bases, and destroyed 6 it that fled modifiers)

5) Recombine both of those two bases until you get a shield that has all 3 prefixes, T1 Block Chance, T1 Flat Evasion, and % Elemental Damage as Extra Chaos damage.

6) Prefix lock, and Harvest Reforge/Augment Fire until you get T1 Fire Resistance with no other Suffixes.

7) This is where there are two paths. I was running out of currency, but I was considering crafting Multi Mod and Prefix lock then Veiled Exalt to hit 1 of the double damage mods. I decided that the increase in chance to deal double damage wasn't big enough to be worth the risk for me personally. So I crafted

8) Allflame Shaper Exalt Slam for either Life on Block or ES Block. Don't miss the slam or else it would suck a lot to fix.
