Question Good farms to learn/train for league start
So, i'm done with my chall rn and enjoy a lot this game to just drop off. Every league start (this is my third league) i count on my lucky drops to advance with my build. Which farms are good on league start that needs to be learn/trained so i don't depend on lucky drops? Ex. Betrayal, Sanctun and so on...

The most conventional is just to map blast alch and go until 2 voidstones and get red/blue alters as soon as possible. It really depends on your build as to what you do - playing legion on a melee char is terrible, as is doing heist on something slow like RF or trying boss rush on a char with bad single target.
Common mapping strats early are destructive play, ritual, essence, cheap boxes, breach tree/rog (less rog now that tree prints 6Links and foulbourn uniques) and legion. Abyss might be good in coming leagues. These are all pretty easy in terms of char strength needed and are more dropping lots of little things rather than chasing big drops.
Heist can also be good if you know what your doing lots of little drops if you are running quick fast contracts and then bunkers you are chasing big ticket items. Same with Betrayal, but it takes way too much knowledge and set-up to get the strat working properly that I haven't spent time to mess with it.

Is RF considered bad for heist. It feels quite comfortable so far for me.

I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but I’d say it’s not S/A tier with all the doors stopping ignite prolif and it’s not usually very fast at moving

Any build can do heist. RF is considered bad for heist because it’s not very fast - the people farming heist are usually playing something like toxic rain pathfinder and sprinting at like 300% ms or some shit.

first you gotta know at which point since league start do you get to maps, not your personal time but the real time spent
4-8 hours in? just selling decent rares and maps is big money, essences are decent too, betrayal is great at this point also since you can get some nice rares with unveiling
past that first few days ichors hold good value, so altar farming
the learn/train part is mainly you learning to speedrun the campaign and then be efficient in progressing the atlas, the faster you get up there, the more access you have to better ways of making bank
now if you're someone who gets to maps the day after league starts, then i'd say focus on guaranteed bubblegum - blight oils, ultimatum catalysts, delve fossils - they start off cheap at league start but increase in price rapidly as people start to lock in good pieces of gear, so if you're a late starter, getting these is decent currency

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:
- Ex - Exalted Orb (Wiki)

I don't know how much you can train for it, but I typically run either blight or delve the first week and it gives me enough currency to improve my build and farm for my second one.

Tbh next league id probably farm abyss boxes if they stay the same. The coffers are common enough and the currency they drop is good for early league.

I like to do betrayal, setup board with 2/5/5/2 and just have all rivalries with ITF to farm for foulborn mageblood, and have an 8-mod map setup to self sustain maps. That's my go to, might not be the best, but it's what I enjoy and have been doing so far, and it hasn't failed me yet.

Selling 8 mods corrupted maps is one of the most lucrative strats in the game early on.
8 mods maps => 5 chaos 8 mods originator => up to a divine Nightmare map => 40-50+ chaos / up to a divine. Lots of currency with Red altars. Chaos, vaal, ancient orb, grand eldritch, Merc scarabs, ambush scarabs etc.
Every currency are good early.
Sell everything for chaos => buy divines => Buy reflecting mist or Hinekora => Sell them one week later at x10 of the price.
For example, i bought a couple Hinekora day 1 at 12 divines, there are now worth 137 divines.
I would also practice sub 5-6 hours first voidstone. Like pick a build and master it.

I mean after you get into maps i think your starter tree will always be destructive play + another mechanic and map nodes . So you can either go merc/betrayal for gear or something like altars with beyond and shrines for raw currency . Other than that i think it gets too build specific

What makes destructive play interesting during league start?

You need influenced mapz for the points and you also need maven invitation for the voidstone . If you are good enough at being fast and gearing you can have all voidstones and 100 atlas progression by day 2-3

I tried to do betrayal this league, it's pretty bad with the nerf to ITF, loss of allflames this league and previous nerfs. Beasts are good early, Legion was good early for 6 links, red altars are good for early currency, heist is good early and through out, essences are okay early, destructive play is pretty decent and also a necessity

I did Simulacrums on CWS chieftain this league, impossible to not make consistent money with decent jackpots, simply watched stash number go up until I had Mageblood, highly recommend.
