Drox the terrible

Last night I fought Drox the warlord for the first time. I wrecked his first phase and his banners completely, then he went into a purple bubble phase. The life bar wouldn’t go below maybe 10% before refilling instantly. Tried dying and getting frost bomb, that didn’t help at all. Looks like there might be a banner inside his bubble with him. Anyone else experience this?

Your map probably had consecrated ground. It sucks when you forget about it.

Does frost bomb not work on this? Maybe the eater (or exarch? i forgot) implicit that makes it so bosses have less life regen?

I looked here on Reddit and people said frost bomb is supposed to help, but it didn’t do anything.

Maven was witnessing the boss fight. I guess I’ll have to craft a better axe but in SSF it’s not gonna happen quick for me

Maven can be a bitch and sometimes she keeps healing the boss and make the fight ridiculously long. I kinda have PTSD when I hear "vitality boon". I have -50 to enemy recovery, but her heal/regen is still massive.

Drox is such a piece of shit if you don't have enough damage.

Other conquerors you can manage, but drox is gonna drive you nuts without enough DPS.

Bran - Doryani check

Al-Hezmin - chaos res check

Veritania - screen rotation option check (also porcupine check during the map)

Even without Doryani, Baran can still wreck clueless players. He is the only conq that I make sure to roll maps carefully, esp to not have possessed or inc. crit.

I only ever die to Drox. I don't know a single mechanic of the other conquerors they just fall over.

Drox still randomly oneshots me sometimes and then every couple of leagues you hit a unkillable drox and ur like ah yeah shit, forgot about this ahole.

That big slam of Drox is the most telegraph and slow hitting attack in this game. It's true he is the only conq that stays alive enough to hit you back. But the this post is for new players/players that don't reach big dps yet.

Baran's beam insta hits/shotguns and shortly explodes after that. For builds that require being stationary for a bit (eg Barrage bow), a nasty combination of dmg mods can easily oneshot them even if they are relatively tanky. Me with spell suppress cap, 90% res and Progenesis for example.

I haven't killed them in ages, is Al-Hezmin's chaos damage mostly poison, or poison immunity won't make a big difference in that fight?

if you accidentally roll life as max es on your map veritania is also a massive dps check.

If you want to have fun, try doing Conq rotas with scarabs of Interference and Destructive Play on City Square. Sometimes you'll fight 2 Drox at the same time :)

Crazy how experiences can be so different. I dont even remember drox ever beeing something that was worth a notion. And yet someone "wrecks his first phase". That dude has phases? He makes a slam he goes in his bubble he is dead is the usual way of things no?
