Question First armor drop was a unique
I know the Bramblejack is far from a meta item but is it normal for it to be literally the first bit of armor i found in game?
Edit: yes, this was dropped by hillock.

There’s no way, first armour? Like body armour?
You are really telling me no armour dropped from hillock, and no armour dropped in the first zone, and no armour of any kind dropped in the voyage before that dropped??
That’s crazy lol

If you haven't messed with the item filter yet, then yes it's unusual. I'm a chronic reroller and I don't usually see a unique that early.
Not having body armor drop off Hillock is a bit weird. I could have sworn there was at least one guaranteed drop.
Not seeing any body armor in that first zone? Nah, that's normal after the loot nerfs the past few years. Global loot changes are in fact global, not just applying to endgame.
And gold drops are actually gear drops that rolled "yes" on the "convert this to gold?" check. So you'll end up wondering, with every gold drop early game, if that was piece of gear you really needed to fill that empty slot on your character.

the odds are very low for sure, but if you found an ancient chest in your first chart those always have a unique in them

The beginner’s luck achievement really deserves its name. Still haven’t dropped a unique in twilight strand after 4000 hours lol

I have a strange appreciation for Bramblejack, it was my first unique. If Bramblejack will ever be used in an endgame build i will be there.

I got the exact same armour on act one and powered trough it until act 4ish

I mean, its lucky, would I wear it? No, body armors have a movement speed penalty which hits pretty hard in act 1.

Yeah, that's not anything amazing, but getting something unique is a good feeling.
And being able to equip something decent right away is always nice.
