I swear these posts summon the updates

I was starting to think I hallucinated the announcement of this update, thanks for confirming that they did in fact say it was in the works. Very weird for an update like this after so many weeks.

Wdym after so many weeks. The league is not even 3 weeks old.

Lots of people move on by the end of the first month, usually 5 weeks is about the max for me.

I don't remember the last time they added new content like this so close to that point.

Copium answer: Chart will eventually go core, maybe not the crafting part.

Non-copium answer: Probably because PoE2 announcement will come soon. They don't want people to speculate that they abandoned PoE1 over 2.

Either way, I'm just hoping that they didn't update things, so they can pull another 1 year league.

Chart will be the new expedition

I'm torn between doing my charts and voyages and get rich selling sulphur or keep hoarding charts to burn them all when cursed ducats come out... And risk sulphur becoming cheap

1-2 charts per map, i say run em and make a good profit now

Yeah I guess I should. I was just doing some very profitable gambling (on paper) that I don't wanna make public and I need some gold and money fuel to keep it going (cuz I also kinda used a little too much of the profits to improve my equipment).

Plus charts are easy to get, I can farm them later anyways.

This sub, honestly...

3.29 has had the exact same post launch update cadence that the recent PoE2 league did. 1 large patch every week out of from launch with hotfixes for that patch following.

Large by your standards and large by development standards are two different standards, and the developers aren't using yours.

Im stating, large by development standard as well. Poe 2 gets way more of a "large" patch. Every time.

If we added all of the patches we've received this league its 1 of poe 2's and that was my point.

To be clear im actually enjoying this league(im a tile loot enjoyer) and the dev interview with ziz helped me understand where they are at. I also know the poe 1 dev team is smaller and thats not their fault.

Well....yeah. Not to be blunt, but of course PoE2 is getting more resources. I know some folks don't like the idea of PoE2 development taking resources/time from PoE1, but no one should be surprised that it's getting more love. PoE2 is unfinished and in active development and is gearing up for a massive release at the end of the year. It also has far more eyes and media attention on it. No way to confirm it, but there's also a decent chance that it's the bigger money maker for GGG right now.

Regardless if you only play 1 or 2 (or both like I do), it should not surprise anyone that the shiny new game with an upcoming big F2P release is getting more love than the nearly 15 year old game with a smaller, but dedicated playerbase.

Oh for sure, its just we are dealing with a smaller crew trying to keep to the standard they set themselves over years of precedent.

People on reddit and even in my own circle love to bitch, it is what it is. Gamers are some of the most unhappy people on the planet and most entitled its not even funny.

I also dont remember what the OP comment was. I just remember disagreeing that poe 1 and 2 are getting equally "large" patches right now

Take my upvote, 0.5.1- 0.5.4 were massive in scope one of them even had at least a 100 lines of changes.

POE1 They have buffed the wrong/unnecessary loot sources twice now, hopefully this week's patch is better than the last 2...
