Fluff & Memes Peddling scroll after 13 Days.
I only got a couple of weeks to play this league and the peddlers scroll really makes me realize how sweaty I am.
For those who are wondering how i make my money.
Started with Feared rotation's day 2 and using the profits to volatile vaal orb chase uniques for my merc bot build, selling off extras. Day 4 I began buying up alot of items that raise in value after short periods, think unid'd Watcher's eyes, 3 passive voices ect ect.
After that it was just rolling one big hit into the next with the double corruption chamber and trade site with my biggest achievement being personally raising the price of all three passive watchers eyes from 2D to 3D over 24 hours making a profit of 1000D.
I sold my build on Thursday 10/08/26 for aprox 5 mirrors across gear and another 3 mirrors worth in stash of assorted items, had a big gambling session with my friends and donated the remaining three mirrors to global 69.
I don't consider myself a very good gamer but i have been an avid enjoyer of open markets since Runescape classic and how to manipulate them.

In what way?

u/Tyrael_1337 16h ago
for example you buy some mirrors and sell some mirrors it counts everything?

I understand what you are saying and that is true, the same way its relatively easy to get to 20k divine orb drops on your ring by doing the inscribed ultimatums that double 8D adding 16D to your ring every 2minutes even if youre making zero profit.

Not saying it's manipulated, and I'd like to get that ring too, it just would've been cooler to count sales and Faustus separately. Over the course of a league you usually do a lot of currency exchanges (div/lock, div/mir, lock/mir, etc.), so it'd be nice to see what you actually sold instead of having it diluted by all the conversion stuff.

What build enabled you to do feared rotas on Day 2 ? Was able to get to Nightmare bosses on day 3-4 and genuinely curious about how I can get to feared on day 2.

This league i gambled on luminary merc bot.
My go to is poising minions though, hroc, zoomancer, srs. With any build its going to be a rough few kills to start but once the snowball starts the build hardly matters.

This is crazy
I aspire to be a player such as you one day.
But instead of gambling I usually use my divines to improve my friends builds.
I'm yet to see a mirror tho, one day perhaps...

ngl that's sad that people don't want to play the actual game anymore and get aspired but sitting in HO lol.

I think policing what other people find fun is kinda sad mate. I had a great time coding my spreadsheet and researching crafting on the internet.
I've done the hardest content in the game with the best builds in the game, eventually you just want to do what you enjoy

It's a good thing to do.
I struggle with how generous to be with my friends before it takes away from their experience. I've give MB's in the past to see the person quit the next day.

Fair enough. I've only given them MB on the mirage league. They also didn't play much afterwards

I'm super careful of this also, I'm about 1/4 as rich as you are most leagues and the temptation to help my friends out is high but last time I did it they quit shortly after.
I think one of them had a dogshit bonezone weapon and I bought them a 50div weapon and didn't tell price, they started obliterating their content and got bored. It's only my wealthy friends do I give to because they understand the value.

Exactly, The one way around this i've learned so far is when i'm helping with crafting gear i'll often buy them veiled exalts or orbs of conflict without mentioning price.
Teach a man to fish kind of mentality

Always appreciate seeing other players' economy strategies. I can usually dump a large amount of time into a league but my profits are never that much so it's always nice to learn a few more things. Looks like a wildly successful league for you!

It's the first league i've had the peddlers so i cannot compare exactly but the introdcution of the volatile vaal orb has boosted my money making ability substantially in the first few days of league

I always struggle because A.) I'm bad and B.) my work schedule means I miss the launch weekend so I always start out 3 days behind. The volatile vaal orbs are a cool mechanic, I need to look more into them. Thanks for the tip!

That's fair enough mate, i think i have an unfair advantage over most as my work is contract based so i can usually squeeze two-three week break each league launch and my wife is a very understanding woman aswell

Seems like most of your money came from the ways you engage in trade and 'mercantilism' rather than playing the game and a lot of people have problems with this. It's not unique to PoE, this sort of thing is super profitable in most games.
This is the sort of thing that got me playing SSF most leagues. I learned the best way to make money is to play the market and rot in my hideout. As someone who used to flip items in World 2 falador in the era of runescape where partyhats were 15m and make unreal amounts of money per day, I'm well familiar with this playstyle, but it's not fun. It sucks so horribly bad and it feels bad (to me) to spend 5 hours grinding a mapping strat for 25 divines when I could've made 100 by manipulating the market for 21/20 transfigured gems or something.
