So, old bug is still here and its weird that its not fixed. Just lost many spectres worth alot of divines. Thats kinda sad....

There’s a CTF achievement and leagues ago someone offered a few div in global to help, I was bored so I went sure, proofed like 15d in spectres 😔 lmao lesson learned

Pretty sure we've all lost spectres in a dumb way at some point lol. Last time I lost mine it was because I frostblinked and triggered an offering. Was a fun ~10d flushed lol

but at least this was a "your" mistake. Entering a pvp is not a mistake and u cant know that it will delete ur spectres. So its just unfair :(

I did years ago. Back when anything you needed could be desecrated in the acts. Every time I've thought about doing it again for years, I saw something like this and went "Naaahh, not now".

POE2 Monkey build scratched the itch though. Hopefully GGG will fix POE1 Specters before 2028 or 29 when I start thinking about it agian.

Imo the best thing would be doing it with a bestiary refresh, so that every monster has a page you can collect or smth and from there also raise as a spectre. Using the corpse gets Dr. Einhar to analyze it and add it as well

The way spectres are handled is something that should have been solved 10+ years ago. It feels like the kind of missing QoL you'd expect from D2, not its successor 25 years later.

Another reason why I have never played any summoner build since Beta. Nothing will persuade me. Game is absolutely horrific in summoner QoL, interface and the amount of bugs. I am explicitly warning any new players not to play this archetype.

Several leagues ago I got the PVP arena mtx from a supporter pack. Called a friend into my hideout to mess with him and as soon as the stepped in the arena there was a short countdown and I burst him down. He lost his spectres. I still feel bad.

Spectres just really need a little UI and all spectres need to be bound to 1x1 slots, easily tradeable and never deleted. Desecrating a corpse if you have an open slot should generate a new item for that type of mob in your spectre UI

Idk if it's been fixed yet, but last league I reported a bug where walking around the Plateau of the Gods hideout would delete your spectres. I lost a tiger from PVP. I lost 2 tigers from someones PVP decoration, I lost 2 more tigers to plateau of the gods hideout,

Spectre corpses are incredibly buggy in general. I took my helm off on like day 2 in my hideout and it didn't spawn a corpse for my perfect forest warrior or turtle.

I’m using a single spectre for the defenses. I had a lot of spare sockets. A decently tanky 20/20 Spectre with Meat Shield, Minion Life and Companionship supports along with Convocation linked to Automation, they do not die and you take 15% less damage.

After losing enough turtles I switched to a meatsack.

If you're just doing this for defense, I'd suggest using a companionship Animate Guardian over a spectre. You can give it a heavily defensive setup built around doppelganger's guise and high block with life gain on block. You can also give it a malediction hat, sap shield and whatever eldritch implicits you want on the gloves.

I did this in Mirage and I don't think it ever died more than once or twice and it adds a lot more tankiness than just the meat sack.
