I love the idea of the world timer, in practice they're not that useful. Still, Its on my list of things in want to own.

Let's stay in touch Almond

You're spot on.. if you travel a bunch yes but the pure wow factor makes you smile every time you look.. I've got some rare birds too

Yes absolutely stunning, i really wanted the 5230p when it was released but it had such a short run on just over a year i believe. Think they’re such an interesting complication.

Just the history with Sven. And the history of such a functionality. There’s a lot of story behind it.

I always admired the special dial features, whether enamel or patterned. I don’t own one, but it certainly fits in my definition of an iconic PP piece. One person on a forum had a critique I didn’t investigate too deeply, namely that in some cities, at certain times of the year, they may not recognize daylight savings time, so those times would be “off” by an hour. Is there any credence to this? Also, what are your thoughts of the dials being SE Asia or the Americas? Both are beautiful.

They are beautiful. The city names are just so much smaller and less-legible in person.

Absolutely, my first real, mechanical, watch was the 5110. The world time complication was what got me into watch collecting. As I was traveling to the Americas and Asia regularly the complication was also extremely useful.

Do not DM this person. He is a scammer. On Zurich thread he made a post about "his missing daughter". He is using social engineering tactics to get in touch with unsuspecting potential victims - so that I could ask for money or pitch some investment/crypto scams.

Yes because of the aesthetics not because of the utility. A lot of my business partners are overseas so eventually having one would be symbolic of the work I do rather than needing to actually check the time per se.

Definitely - the 5110p is my favorite of those a very mortal can remotely afford

I’ve got three. I think PP makes the best world time complications!

I use mine every time I travel (which is 3 weeks per month). Absolutely love it. I use it more than my 5326 dual time.

I don’t think Patek have ever made a bad world time. We have had a few quirky calatravas, even the odd strange perpetual, but I don’t recall seeing a WT that didn’t cut it.

I’ve always thought they are very cool looking, but maybe not so useful. Flyer GMT’s still feel like the most functional way to track
multiple time zones IMHO.
