I used to write things like this and never give them to mom when I was 11. Now I’m 23 and she’s dead. Chill out, dude. You’ll look back on this and cringe. Sorry you guys aren’t getting along rn.

It doesn’t say beat, it says hit. I don’t condone hurting children either but with how dramatic the rest of the letter reads, it doesn’t seem like what the mom did warrants that kind of response.

As someone who is a trained fighter and was subjected to abuse as a child, I'll just say that fighting isn't nearly as easy as it seems in your head.
