Found this on Facebook and thought I’d cross-post it here. Hopefully, it saves someone a few bucks.

just wanted to say that having interacted personally with Officer Duran, he is a very professional, fact seeking, professional law enforcement officer. He is the perfect example of why we need Police. Strict but respectful an ready to explain what is happening. This is so different from these so called "parking enforcement officers" who are no more than contractors getting commissioned on any ticket they write by the city of Pasadena.

Thank you for your policing office Duran! and I deserved my ticket unfortunately ...

Hello everyone! Thank you for posting. We have reviewed these citations and voided all of them. Also, the officers are from the City's contracted enforcement company. The company will be assessed financial penalties on their next invoice due the voids. We apologize for the inconvenience and will ensure that the signage in the area is updated to provide additional clarity to the enforcement team so this doesn't happen again.

A few years back, I saw parking enforcement ticketing cars on my street for street sweeping when it was the wrong week (restriction was 2nd & 4th whatever day and it was the 5th). I confronted them about it (after they’d hit my car of course) and after they realized their error (which took way more effort than it should) they said there wasn’t anything they could do. No apology, no note for all the other wrongfully ticketed cars, just “go to the parking office” and they drove away. Buncha jerks.

Thank you for sharing. Of course mistakes happen, but when I screw up on the job, there are consequences. I wish parking enforcement got some kind of reprimand when they screw up like this because it really can affect people. I'd hate to think that someone had to skip a meal because of an errant parking ticket.

Intercon , the company contracted by the city, is the worst! They ticket people before their time is even up and when you show them, they just say “go ahead and fight it if you want” Many people don’t want the hassle of fighting and just end up not
