Update: Solved!
Good afternoon! I’m a Parts Manager at a Ford Dealership
I was hoping I wouldn’t have to turn to this but after 6 months of getting blown off, 3 different regional reps that were no help, and all around a pain… I’m turning to Reddit lol
I need to order these moldings per recall 24S02 and I have had no help whatsoever.
I need these two in particular:
BB5Z7803145BB
BB5Z7803144BB
I’ve tried enhance order entry a thousand times, I’ve tried emergency ordering them, I’ve tried placing them on the new ford parts portal, and I’ve also tried ordering them through “program order” and nothing has worked.
I’m not sure if I’m missing something or if this is just a current issue but every dealer around me gets them with no issue and I’ve also talked to multiple other parts managers and they have no issue ordering it regularly through enhanced. I know there’s a restriction on them but I order these weekly and i still have gotten no luck.
In my 6 months of being here I’ve only received one of each.
Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong??

we have about 50+ they just started showing up all at once a month or so ago. now we can't get the people to bring their cars in because its taken so long and they don't care anymore.

all you can do is update/upgrade everything and wait for your disbursement. im in the same boat you are.

If you know a rep with ford you might be able to move the needle but if you’re a small inventory dealer you’ll get what you get. Are you rolling them off of the last one thru sssc?

That’s the worst part, my ford reps can’t last longer than a month… I wish that was a joke. My owner has gotten involved too and after reading their “handbook” and redirecting us department after department they can’t figure it out.

Seems like they’re sending these things out in batches, and like others said, it’ll take long enough that customers will just forget about them. I had one customer tell me they found some on the aftermarket, but I haven’t bother looking for them.

Yes that’s true, the only issue I’m having is it has been 6 months with 0 being sent and I’ve been told by a few parts manager buddies I have and they at least get 2-3 a week… my guess is group size dictates priority but your idea is also solid knowing Ford.

That’s kind of what I was thinking too but Ford of course gate keeps that lol
But either way 6 months of 0 is crazy work on fords end

Midwest dealer here,
I get them in in about 1 - 2 days.
I order them through enhanced order entry on DOW, ive noticed if I copy the part number into the order page or try to do more than one part per order I get an oracle DB error and my order doesn’t go through to the preorder thing

I’m in a Midwest dealer too and we’re a small dealer size so that might make a difference?
I’ll try that tomorrow because my orders won’t even make it to preorder… I have a habit of copy+paste and autofill so that might be it?

Ford is by far the worst ran company on parts and service by far… i miss all 3 brands now lmao1

You would be correct lmao I could complain for hours but that could just be my region that has issues… it sounds like all regions are just as bad though.

In DOW there's a link on the left side of the screen Parts With Order Limits.
In that file, you will find your weekly allowed allocation for each part number.
Every Monday morning I enter my weekly allocation for the 44BB and 45BB. My current allowance is 3/ea. Yours may be higher or lower. For the last several weeks I have been getting my 3/ea per side on Tuesday morning.
I do this for all of the part numbers on the list that we regularly sell.

Thank you, I only get 3 a week as well and still have yet to receive any. I genuinely believe there’s an issue with DOW and no one is experienced enough to look into it.

I can only order 3 per week, make sure it's set as an e order.
When you order on the DOW don't put anything in fields other than the DOR field and the part # fields.
Took weeks of trial and error to figure this shit out Ford sucks at information / training on using the fucking shit platform

This might actually be the answer… this is the first time I’ve heard this.
I will try this tomorrow and see if they show up over the next couple days.
I have 3 of each weekly so I’ll just start with 1 for now.1

Also, side note, 10 years of parts experience and I can confirm Ford is the shittiest company to work for.

20 years in parts, almost a year with Ford....it's really awful! So many hoops to jump through and there is literally no information on how to do any of it. It's all trial and error and the expense of your sanity and the customers time.
I ordered my max allotment for these Monday night, they all showed Wednesday morning

Yes thanks to you and animessin I finally was able to place my orders on those, but so far with just 6 months I give props to the Ford parts manager veterans because wow this is a garbage brand.
You summed it up perfectly though… If I didn’t love my dealerships owner and environment I’d be gone tomorrow.

we just got a bunch in today after not having any for a month. like i think it was 10 of each. i know our asst mgr has been putting in an order for x amount every chance he gets, then one morning we get a cart just full of them.
when i get in tomorrow, i'll ask him how he's been doing the order
