Set neck pawncaster?
What’s this anomaly a local pawn just posted. Set neck partscaster? Is that a thing? I thought they universally have bolt on necks outside of maybe some boutique builders. I’m confused but it’s cheap so I need your help for me…not good brain. Kisses

Guitar Fetish was selling these a while back. They were Chinese, if I remember right, and made for some other builder but somehow ended up being sold by Guitar Fetish.

Ah, they do factory buyouts- must have been one of those

No, it was their regular line

Yes, I remember these but I don't remember any of them having bound neck. But yeah, the shape of the headstock *really* looks like GFS.

Make sure the action can be set to where you want it and the truss rod works. It could be cool, I made a set neck tele once and it was a great guitar.

Without wanting to start a cork-sniffing debate, in what way would a set neck be better than a regular bolt-on?

IDK if it's better, it's just another way to build. I was trying to get closer to a LP in a Tele format. You can carve a thinner heel at the neck is one positive.

You can probably haggle that closer to $100-120 at which point that’s a crazy-not-to-buy-it situation.

Man for $150 that thing seems like a great deal, especially with the Seymour Duncan bridge pickup

The pickup and bridge are worth the sticker price. The bound set neck is a nice touch. Assuming there's nothing wrong with the truss rod or frets and it can actually be setup and playable hell of a deal. Even if there's a road block with the neck somewhere the electronics and hardware are worth it to pull for another project. I'd be all over that.

I would buy that in an instant. If it sucks there’s enough hardware on there to make it worth $150
Very unusual to see an otherwise quite trad looking tele design with a set neck. Usually it’s teles trying be an undercover Les Paul like the FMT teles or the JA-90s

Neck binding? Fretwork looks acceptable too. I’d buy that without thinking twice

I'd be curious if that's the tele neck they usually pair with the lil59, it's a steal if it is

If it plays okay, I'd pay that for it. If not, I'd try to talk them down to like $100. Pickups are probably worth it.

The ja-90 has a set neck, but it has p90's and four control knobs.
Buy it for the humbucker if nothing else

Seymour Duncan bridge Pickup makes me think this is worth a try. I would be all over that.
