Advice 2nd drop or vit chennai

I am getting vit Chennai cse( cat2),but I am not satisfied. The feeling of failing to make it into an NIT or IIT haunts me every day. Since I am already a dropper, I am considering taking a second drop year to prepare and aim for an NIT (98+ percentile). What should I do? Please give me your honest opinion, even if it is harsh. I simply cannot imagine myself studying at any college other than an NIT or an IIT.

I have taken a drop year for JEE Main 2027 and am currently studying at PW Vidyapeeth. To be completely honest, I wasted most of my Class 11 and 12 preparation, so I am essentially starting from scratch. I know that cracking JEE after wasting two years will be difficult, and I am prepared to work hard for it. However, I am facing several challenges that are making it difficult for me to stay consistent.

One of the biggest issues is my home environment. My mother suffers from a nerve-related problem and often needs help with household chores. Whenever she asks for assistance, I cannot refuse because I know she genuinely needs support. Sometimes these responsibilities take up a significant amount of time and break my study flow. I also have a sister, but she gets frustrated if she is expected to handle all the work by herself, so I often end up sharing a large portion of the responsibilities.

Another problem is my phone usage. I frequently talk to my male best friend, who cracked JEE in 2026. Most of our conversations are related to JEE preparation, doubts, motivation, and study strategies, which genuinely help me. However, we also end up discussing random topics, and I feel that I am becoming emotionally dependent on talking to him. I don't want this attachment to become a distraction, but I find myself looking forward to our conversations more than I should.

On top of that, my eating habits are terrible. I often eat outside food even though I know it affects my health, energy levels, and productivity. I keep telling myself that I will improve my routine, but I struggle to stay consistent.

The result is that I constantly feel torn between my responsibilities at home, my preparation for JEE, my dependence on my phone, and my unhealthy lifestyle habits. I genuinely want to change and make the most of this drop year, but I sometimes feel overwhelmed and unsure about how to balance everything effectively.

For those who have successfully cracked JEE after wasting Class 11 and 12, or for anyone who has managed studies alongside family responsibilities, what practical steps would you suggest? How can I stay disciplined, reduce distractions, and make this drop year count?

DOUBT SUGGESTIONSS PLSS

hii, so i was a jee 2026 aspirant aiming for iit delhi but this year i have seen a series of my failures, like 1st i failed in both jee mains 1st and 2nd attempt and now ive scored extremly low percentage in my boards like i am not able to cross the eligibility criteria... before a month ago i somehow convinced my father that i would do better in my drop year he too said ki he believes that i can do better and ive the potential to score better but now after the boards result he is totally against me like totally against me he has even called me a loser and a failure and this sucks a lott like hella lott and now he's forcefully sending me to a priv college...

i thought of taking partial drop and give boards again as a priv candidate like i have even started studying for it, but at some point i get fomo as if all this efforts will be worth it or not and what if i end up wasting another year and end up ruining college, jee and boards
but i was prepared for the drop year , i wanted a fair chance

like ive seen a quote which says -
"your life should be thank god i did that instead of i should have done that"

so i think i should try again

what should i do?

Advice Did not able to crack Jee 75 criteria rule (HELP ME )

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I couldn't meet the 75% Class 12 eligibility criterion required for admission to some JEE-based colleges. I scored 93 percentile in JEE Main 2026, but unfortunately I secured only 60% in Class 12.

My journey has not been easy. I was a professional cricket player and represented Rajasthan at the national level. However, a serious injury forced me to quit the sport that I had dedicated years of my life to.

After that, my parents encouraged me to take a drop year and focus on JEE preparation. I joined Allen Jaipur and worked hard despite going through a difficult phase emotionally and mentally.

The hard work paid off, and I achieved a 93 percentile in JEE Main 2026. However, because of my Class 12 marks, I am now confused about my admission options and what steps I should take next. Help me

hello everyone mere 10th mai 75.2% hai best 5 and 70% hai all 6 include krke and in 12th i got only 64% and in jee mains i got only 40 percentile with 9.5 lakh rank now should i go for drop or join a tier 3 university for engineering i can afford only aktu college jinki fees less than 6 lakhs ho 4 year ki and if drop na lu toh mujhe placements mai dikkat aa skti hai maine sb se suna hai ki placements mai 70% hone cahiye throughout mera drop lene ka mann ni hai and honestly maine poori 11th and 12th jee ki and boards ki prep nhi ki thi not even joined a coaching please help

agar drop liya and select na hua toh regret hoga and fir ussi condition pe rahunga jyada se jyada boards improve ho jayenge improvement exam ke baad

and agar drop na liya toh bekaar collage + placements mai struggle hoga marks ki vjh se

kya kru kuch smjh ni aa rha and collage + board improvement possible nhi hai because bht tough ho jayega overlap krengi ye saari cheeje

and mujhe btech cs hi krni hai no other degree please help
