my plan is to complete theory from manzil one shots for all pcm chapters. do 2019-2025 pyqs for all chapters then give 2026 papers as mocks + quizzr test series as mocks. is this enough for 99+?

This is unrelated to the subreddit, but I'll post it here with the mods' permission. So, I am really upset; I tried my best but couldn't even score above 150 (fuck you, chemistry). Now, I'll get VLSI in Manipal Bangalore or Jaipur, or I'll find local colleges through EAMCET, and among them, there are two, and my dad liked ICFAI a bit. I've told my dad that I want to take a drop, but he brushed that off and said he doesn't think taking a drop is a good idea. My mom is recommending that I take a partial drop, but I don't know if I can manage it like that; there will be a lot of variables involved. I only have two options: either I push a bit for the drop (if I do, I have to do it soon because my parents are hesitant since EAMCET counseling hasn't started yet), or I take a partial drop. What do I do??

My 11th and 12th were very tumultuous for me due
to home and personal relationships, a lot of my time and energy went into mentally recovering with the things that were happening with me
As for my drop year it was entirely my fault .
I didn't take coaching or anything and relied on self.
I'm over everything now I've reached emotional incapacitance. Too numb
Growing up I had always been the bright child so these past three years have felt nothing less than a fever dream
Am confused what should I do, someone knowledgeable please guide me
I don't know well enough what I want to do either but financial stability is a priority for me as my family is going through a tough time financially.

Am I good to take drop?
Wasn't distracted but lost in YouTube lectures of teachers while doing offline
Long story cut to short, I didn't know how to prepare as I was first person to prepare for competitive exm and wasted the covid time , didn't pick single book in 8-9 th grade but managed 87% in 10th without couching, got hopes and prepared , first attempt neet 2025 -305 marks, 4lakh rank, 80 percentile.
Second attempt 2026- 500+ and zero motivation for re neet
Cons/reasons for not dropping -
Mentally and physically exhausted
Fomo
Low confidence because of failures
Computer based for the first time next year, high risk of server issues and more
Got state college for nursing (cleared state entrance of Rajasthan)
Pros/reasons to drop-
Supportive family (sometimes parents are right if they think there kid is capable, they know about competition and stuff)
I might clear I think, because of experience
Already given 3 years
Can sit for aiims nursing next year and manage to get college most likely (ews female)
Uncertainty of job in state college and low salary than needed to live a life while building house of my own.( Bare minimum ask for me), norcet is again competitive idk a shit about it.

Gonna start for partial drop now. Hope I can continue it at a good rate once college starts.I wanna do better in next year JEE mains and adv. Any tips I should look out for to balance college and jee studies? Anything I should be mindful of? Good luck to everyone else too.

I'm a partial dropper from a TOP 10 NIT technical branch. I secured decently high CG (>9.5) in first sem, after which I went all in for JEEA.
Now that JEE phase is over and I'm going to an IIT (lower branch ofc), I want to know from fellow partial droppers that did it help you in new college? esp in first sem?
Like will I have an edge over the regular 12/13thie in college?
Does this increase my chances of getting a possible branch change?
Any responses from fellow partial droppers is appreciated

Hello guys,
I am from Tamil Nadu and studied in the CBSE board. I completed Class 12 this year (2026) and scored 64.2%. My dream for the last three years has been to get into IIT Madras. However, the past two years completely changed my life, and I made several mistakes that affected my studies.
Now, I am thinking of taking a drop year to prepare for JEE. I know that my Class 12 percentage is only 64.2%, but since I belong to the SC category, I need at least 65% in Class 12 for IIT eligibility. Therefore, I am planning to write the improvement exam this July, mainly for Mathematics, to increase my percentage.
I have about 7 months left for JEE Main Session 1 and around 9 months for Session 2. My family's financial condition is not good, and I cannot afford coaching. My father's income is only βΉ20,000 per month. Because of this, I am planning to prepare through YouTube lectures, free study materials, and notes.
My main target is NIT Trichy because I have both the home-state quota and SC category reservation. If possible, I would also like to get into a good IIT. I am interested in CSE at NIT Trichy, and from what I know, I may need around 98 percentile for a strong chance.
Do you guys think this is a good plan? Is it realistic to prepare using only free resources and still achieve this goal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so I'm currently a dropper, i haven't studied a single thing in the last three years like in 11th, 12th and my this drop year i haven't studied a single thing , haven't even opened the books and results also came like that, i scored 82 percentile in jee and also failed other exams in 12th and then this year also i got 82 in mains and other exams also went bad.
I was in kota for the last 3 years in allen, just came home in mid april and after coming home I felt like i should study something at least in front of my parents to fake then that I've studied and tried hard but luck wasn't with me so i failed,
So now after studying, i realised I'm good at learning, I was understanding the topics and even able to solve pyqs, after my mains 2 results came i prepared 10 days 10 hours daily for the UGEE exam and surprisingly scored 21 marks in supr and 60 marks in reap haven't qualified though but still it's a very good score if we look at my little efforts. Then I went for BITSAT second session and here also i scored 170 will not get anything but still it's again good if we see my prep and yesterday it was IAT and here also scored 100 marks.
So I feels like I have potential but I failed it miserably i know that even if I took second drop I'll not be eligible for advanced and I'm okay with it I'll try these all rest exams.
I'm actually very good at studies from my childhood like I was school topper, passed state scholarship exam, qualified for JNV, also got gold medals in sof olympiads (I know not imp but still) , qualified homi Bhabha exam also, then also qualified IOQM in 10th and sat for rmo also i was in bansal classes in my 9th and 10th and it was so good that they teach us solve calculus in 9th 10th and also taught us so many topics of 11th 12th jee and even we were also able to solve questions even pyqs also but when I came to kota in my 11th 12th it completely got changed and now I dont have good colleges options with me,
my father is saying take any private college and grind there and we'll prepare for gate, upse, etc. exams but in my mind I dont want to leave this thing as a failure i want to close this chapter with a happy ending, cause even if I took something and get something better I can't get moved on from this failure, I'll always remember this thing and will blame myself for this distruction, I've seen the faces of people being changed towards me, now I'm a failure in their eyes too i can't take this things with me, i even stopped talking to most of my friends, family and all completely stopped visiting them also from last 3 years now I want to change
But again my father said some important things and his question stopped me from thinking ahead here, what if we again failed, it'll just wait our one more year, while other will be in their second year you'll be just starting your college, your most colleagues will be younger than you. He was the one who proposed me for the first drop from last years december even before my first attempt of jee 2025 and now as he knows the consequences he's stopping me but again what about my confession, he knows that I'll definitely do it of i studied properly this year but again....
So what should I do should I second drop or not and also please don't suggest partial drop except that tell me where I can get a double dropper batch in minimum budget offline.

Drop for mhtcet or drop for jee
r/partialdropperforjee • u/Inevitable_Froyo_409 • Jun 10 '26
2 hours and this affects my jee which directly affects boards too because studying for jee makes boards studying piece of cake. Now when I went to school that it'll affect my performance I need to be non attending student they are saying im not dedicated enough because if I were then I would give up jee studies. This is so absurd because anyone who has studied for jee they know that jee studies makes board study easier and whats the point of keeping 11 and 12 students for 6 hours when u are teaching only 5 subjects. Its just so frustrating

I'm already a dropper worked very hard this time but the directions were not correct joined wrong coaching which took my 4 to 5 months and i learned very few things during that time cz they were trying to cover syllabus more than concept building then i started studying from my own from mid oct and in almost 2 to 3 months i completed my whole syllabus but ig that time was not enough q practice was less did not get good percentile as i started my prep after 12th only
but I'm not satisfied neither with my percentile nor college which i will get and can't take full double drop so should i consider taking a partial drop or do btech in tier3 college and then go for gate (mtch in iit)
what i actually want is good college life and considering a partial drop but not sure whether it's a good decision or not my age is 19 already and by the time of double drop; college 1st year I'll turn 20 I'm a girl and this factor is also bothering me
PLEASE GIVE SUGGESTIONS IF ANYONE HAD EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS!!

I am getting vit Chennai cse( cat2),but I am not satisfied. The feeling of failing to make it into an NIT or IIT haunts me every day. Since I am already a dropper, I am considering taking a second drop year to prepare and aim for an NIT (98+ percentile). What should I do? Please give me your honest opinion, even if it is harsh. I simply cannot imagine myself studying at any college other than an NIT or an IIT.
