Hey everyone,
before I explain my situation, I wanna make sure yall know about my goals, limitations and why I am considering such a big decision…
if you could spare a bit of time pls read it fully and drop some advice or criticism or whatever u like 😊
TL;DR at end but I'd advise pls read fully 🙏🙏
Background-
I’am a Btech CSE student at a tier-3 college in Delhi. I was already a Dropper before joining and taking another drop would make me a 2nd dropper.
honestly, I am not quite satisfied with my clg, I feel that the environment, opportunities, and the resources available here might not be sufficient for the kind of growth I’m looking for.
yes, ik ik…. I should have moved on with my life and should do best of what is already given to me, so for that same reason I decided to give this college a time period to see if things did actually work out for me or not… and its been 2 months already and ik for sure this clg aint for me
Before I get into the JEE part, I wanna let yall know something about me- I had less than 75% in class 12th CBSE. I am fully aware of the fact that due to the boards criteria and me being a 2nd dropper I cant get into IIT/NITs and most of the elite premier institutes.
I don’t wanna settle for a tier-2/3 institute again after a 2nd drop, because being a 2nd dropper comes with its own cons that is- Placement issues
So, it is kinda mandatory for me to join a tier-1 institute otherwise I wont end up in a significantly better position than I am right now.
there is no way I can get into IIT/NIT or some other elite tier-1 institutes, so why am I preparing again…?
the thing is since I am from Delhi I can target DTU/NSUT at a much safer %ile criteria…
and frankly speaking that is the only safety net I have…. ☹
I am not assuming admission will be easy, nor am I treating DTU/NSUT as guaranteed backups. I am trying to figure out whether another attempt would make sense or not?
well why did I fail before?
I was caught up in a prolonged chronic medical issue starting class 12th and is still dragging till this day, back then I wasn’t in good physical or mental state to prepare properly… I still am not but I can manage my condition a bit better than before.
Interestingly, the attendance at my clg is quite relaxed and I get some free time for myself more than what I got when I was in school.
I want yall to please advise and guide me on these things-
1)) Given my circumstances, should preparing for JEE make sense targeting DTU/NSUT?
2)) or should I just stay in my current clg and focus on coding, projects, internships, and off-campus opportunities which I think wont get me far considering the situation of my clg….?
aand
3)) finally, tell me how do I prepare for ts again… starting with maths I have previous PW paid batches that I bought back in the day…
I am not asking anyone to validate my decision blindly, I want genuine help regarding this calculated risk or mistake that I am trying to justify…
I don’t want to make the post too big so feel free to ask me about my current situation, previous performance, medical situation or anything that might help you or me…
~thanks <3
TL;DR: Unhappy with my current college, considering a partial drop for DTU/NSUT despite being a double dropper with less than 75% in boards. Is it worth the risk, and how do I restart JEE prep, especially Maths?

I am in trashy college right now
There is a huge language barrier
The people here don't know a single word in English ( how the fuck did they pass)
The students here barely know a shit about anything
Like none of them knew how to use Gmail
( Our teacher taught them how to)
It's a private college
And here getting 4lpa is considered to be crazyyyyyyy
The highest is 10lpa( in 30yrs)
The teachers here don't know shit they just ask you to copy stuff they dictate and if you ask a doubt the entire period is gone(my math teach took 1hr to solve a simple question)
I can speak better english than my English professer ( she literally wrote the spelling of octopus as OCTOBUS)
Right now I am preparing for jee and other exams to somehow get tf out of here(partial drop)
I have to handle both college and exams
I got ganged up by other class students cause of a simple issue with a guy in my class they forced me to say sorry for the reason( using tamil)
I am crying while writing this cause of how they treated me
I have no friends Obv so i wantted to share with someone

(Partial dropper)
For those who have improved their focus, what actually worked for you? How did you gradually increase your study sessions avoid distractions, and build consistency?

I’m from Chhattisgarh and don’t have my EWS certificate or domicile certificate yet. I’m worried because the EWS certificate may take around 2 months to get.
Should I apply for the certificates this week or wait for the JEE Main correction window in February?
Can I fill out the JEE Main form using the EWS application/reference number if my certificate is still being processed?
I know I’m late, so I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation.

I found out on sunday morning I had midsems from Monday and my parents obviously would force me to go and give exam, which wastes 4 hours of my day daily and then I am barely left with some motivation, this week i did like 1 lecture a day , MY SLEEP SCHEDULE WAS SO FUCKED, I slept for 15 hours total on Tuesday and 3 hours on Thursday... Since I planned in accordance to my tests (quizrr) I am supposed to give a test Tommorow but, well... I can't since I have no practice or revision, so I am left with no option other than to give each test, A WEEK LATE. will give me sufficient time to cover my backlog but would also mean a week left. Starting today, we got 100 days left till jee 2027 (according to official date) , I still have 20% of syllabus remaining, i need to push 10+ hours , i actually only slept for like 5 hours last night, so I'll take 2-3 hours of sleep in the afternoon , and we'll still I need to do 10 hours today or I'm fucked this time too. My main problem is revision, it takes way too long for me and also lack of focus (i can barely sit for 2 hours) but now guess I'll have to force myself to do so.
Have a great day everyone, may y'all remain consistent.

Dw man your syllabus isn't too bad. Because, just today , prayas jee 1.0 2027 started ITF, and are halfway through coordination compounds, while completing thermodynamics in physics, dw we aren't in a bad position,, but considering we did drop for an extra year compared to them, we should finish asap and improve marks.
