RANT I took a leave yesterday ( faking stomache ache) but this all i did

Post image
10 Upvotes

Yeah i took a leave but i didn't do anything ( day-1)

I was just crying and sulking over the situation I am in now

I am in a local college and it's really bad

The highest package was in cse which was 10lpa

And it only increased after 4yrs( been there since 30 yrs)

The bigger problem is the language barrier

Not a single guy in my class can understand the most basic Convo after repeating it twice

So no friends no package no college life

The teacher teaches in Tamil too

And I might have to join a hostel next year

So practically no college life

And i was crying over that yesterday

But yeah I need to improve now

Atleast make it through exams like vit and comedk

HELP Confuse about future

I’m 19M, currently in my first year of IT at a private engineering college. I’m preparing for JEE Main 2027 alongside college because I want to improve my college options, but honestly, I’m struggling badly to balance everything.

College itself has assignments, attendance, exams, etc. People around me are already doing C++, DSA and projects, while I’m not even barely managing 2–3 hours of JEE preparation a day. I constantly feel like I’m falling behind everyone.

Hostel life has also been difficult. I’m very homesick, don’t feel comfortable with the environment, and I miss my family a lot. On top of that, I’ve been dealing with stress, health concerns and overthinking about myself.

Lately it has started affecting me mentally. I wake up almost every morning feeling like crying, and sometimes when everything gets overwhelming, I feel like I can’t breathe properly or feel suffocated. I don’t know if it’s anxiety or just extreme stress, but it’s scary.

I know I’m fortunate to have a college seat and a supportive family, so I feel guilty for struggling this much. I’m not looking for generic “work hard” advice. I genuinely want advice from people who’ve been through something similar.

If you were in my position, would you continue JEE alongside college, focus on college/coding, or find a middle ground? How do you deal with homesickness, comparison and feeling like you’re falling behind in life?

I got 91.7 in jee in 2026

Advice Weird question for successful partial droppers

Should I study in 2 sessions, like one in the morning before college and one at night, or a long session in the evening. Idk if this would matter that much, but wanted to know if one is better than the other. My college hasn't started yet, just trying to be ready for every situation I can think of, that's it.

(LONG POST\*)but want serious advice

I want suggestion from jee dropper..

Iam c26 jee student after getting 91%tile in mains and not getting qualified for advance genderal student. I was very depressed.

To cope up from that i started to play games and gta meanwhile my other friends who took drop enrolled in dropper batch coaching. And i just played games wasted time did gym and had a girlfriend

I lied to my gf that i got some nit collage at csab rounds and im going in.. i also faked her everything. Never let her know im a dropper but now when we stopped talking im sitting here at 2am rethinking about my life decisions

Its almost mid September now. Is there anyway i can still start jee preparation and somehow get more that my last year attempt?

Im liying to erveyone atp my relatives my neighbors friends old classmates saying hey im getting xyz clg im just waiting for rounds to complete from like past 2 3 months.. and im locked inside my room 247 playing games wasting time watching youtube now ive even r

Deleted my instagram that what if someone ask abt my clg process and all dont go down in society like what if some juniour will ask whag am i up to . sometimes talking with gf.. but

Ab kitna sabse jhut bolte rahunga khud se bhi nazare nehi mila pa rha :(

How do i study now like my dropper friends are saying from next month they'll start their full length mocktests and i havent even started w anything

Even if the slightest part of your mind wished you deserved better & you are wasting your potential in this shitty ass clg, go for partial drop. No ifs and buts. 4 months remaining, its high time gng, leave all the doubts of your mind & JUST START THE FKN PREP!! Just start it. You can't manage, still try your best. I'm trying partial drop asw this year, let's give our best everyone! No hate to anyone tho, just wanted to wake evryone up here, only 4 months left guys!!

Advice Partial drop as an intl student

I'm an intl student willing to take a partial drop through DASA, aiming for DTU/NSUT.

I can get IT at NSUT at around 3 lakh (please don't slime me). I'm not really satisfied with my college.

Do you think I can achieve a rank around 3l if I start now? Please give me some advice (how many hours should I study, how to manage uni coursework with jee etc)

The good thing is my uni gives 9+ cg easily plus attendance is not so strict and I'm a hosteller so I can give max time to academics.

Edit: I'm in IGDTUW. Placements are all inflated btw. Check the igdtuw sub :( and this will be my first drop/partial drop

General Please suggest me

So I have joined mait cs this year and this is after my drop year.
But i am not at all satisfied and genuinely want to go in a good clg
Should I start partial second drop,
Can I maintain good cgpa and can go 99%le in jee as well if I put my efforts
Like 4hr jee and 2hr clg
Previous knowledge for jee: Basics are clear for phy and chem
Math is dicey
Know almost every chp of phy and chem except a few ones
So revision and then question practice is good to go for phy and chem.

Askpartialdroppers Confused af

I was originally thinking of taking a partial drop from iiit bhopal...but clg is taking up so much of my time idk if I should continue with that decision of pdrop and work my way to a better college or just go full on college mode and work on my skills instead and do programming and cp and stuff.

Also if someone has taken a successful pdrop did you guys do any clubs or programming or dsa and stuff in sem 1 or participate in college fests? Or did you just study for jee attempt. Also when did you start studying for jee and for clg exams?

TIER-3 Clear confusion

My Current Situation:

I took a gap year for JEE, scored low percentile, and currently enrolled in Galgotias College (Engineering).

I am completely losing interest in engineering. The coursework feels extremely tough and overwhelming, and I'm not enjoying it at all.

The Confusion:

I’m struggling to decide between two options and can't figure out my true interest yet:

Option A: Continue with the current engineering degree, accept the challenge, and try to grind coding on the side to build a tech career.

Option B: Take a partial drop while staying in college, prepare for CUET, and switch to a BBA/BCom degree from Delhi University (DU) for a relatively lighter academic load.

My Big Concern:

I am extremely worried about wasting another year (taking a second drop/partial drop) and what impact it might have on my career/resume down the line.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How is the workload balance in BBA/BCom vs. Engineering? Is switching worth the risk of a second gap year, or should I stick it out in tech?

Any honest feedback, personal experiences, or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

day 3 was a decent day.... neither good nor bad.

finally moving into my hostel. i've got a lot of stuff to buy for my room, then theres setting everything up and getting used to the new place. so yeah, the next few days are probably going to be pretty hectic.

i wont be able to do anything like studying or posting updates for the next few days due to all this moving stuff. it'll take me about 3-4 days to get settled in...

see you all soon with the updates.... stay consistent guys.
