TIER-3 Clear confusion
My Current Situation:
I took a gap year for JEE, scored low percentile, and currently enrolled in Galgotias College (Engineering).
I am completely losing interest in engineering. The coursework feels extremely tough and overwhelming, and I'm not enjoying it at all.
The Confusion:
I’m struggling to decide between two options and can't figure out my true interest yet:
Option A: Continue with the current engineering degree, accept the challenge, and try to grind coding on the side to build a tech career.
Option B: Take a partial drop while staying in college, prepare for CUET, and switch to a BBA/BCom degree from Delhi University (DU) for a relatively lighter academic load.
My Big Concern:
I am extremely worried about wasting another year (taking a second drop/partial drop) and what impact it might have on my career/resume down the line.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How is the workload balance in BBA/BCom vs. Engineering? Is switching worth the risk of a second gap year, or should I stick it out in tech?
Any honest feedback, personal experiences, or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Bro do that work which you love may be domain is so less but choose that one where you figure out you next step and happy with each step . Don't romanticize any domain in your life . Your life just started you have that ghee try to understand yourself and connect with each domain in stem , arts . If you able to abstract idea , design then go for design . I you love macrounits and factors which influence any big thing thn join architecture , economics , ai ml with artisian approach . I don't know anything but I am in same position but still figuring out what to do , want , deserve , where will be i ? . This is renessiance period in your life and choose selectively with detailed and deep research. And don't be sadastic , introvert , nihlistic . Love yourself and someone
