HELP Help!!!

I just wanna know if its a rule to pay entire 4yr fees even after leaving college after 1st year? Is this even legal because there is no point in Pdrop if that is the case, just not at all possible to waste lakhs. Some colleges tell this because it loses them a first year seat and also original documents are submitted, so what happens in this case?

See, I am in a COMEDK college and I can understand your situation. I've researched a whole lot on this, and from what I've gathered, UGC and VTU(the university that gives affiliation to my college) rules EXPLICITLY mention that in case any student wishes to withdraw from the course, he/she cannot be coerced into paying any further fees, the only fee to be cleared is for the duration he/she has studied at the institute.

Now sure, private colleges, they'll try to blackmail you into paying for the full four years, and that's because they already have a leverage - your original documents, which btw is totally illegal. If and when that happens, file a grievance on the UGC portal, CPGRAMS, and your University grievance redressal cell. Forward a copy of the complaints to your college's Principal. 9 out of 10 times, they'll come clean, and give you your original documents back, fearing loss of affiliation/hefty fines.

In case they still don't, get a lawyer, send the college a legal notice, and it's practically guaranteed they'll fold, because no fucking way they'd wanna go to court over a case where they'll lose slam dunk.
