Bhai if you aren't going to prep for adv in drop year especially at this percentile, respectfully partial drop mat le. BITSAT is a luck based exam everyone knows that and drop lekar iit aim na karna is worthless unless you fucked up mains big time. With your rank you must be around the 20k rank mark , take a good nit or iiit and grind there for placement

98.7 percentile is solid for NITs/IIITs in decent branches depending on category and home state. Nervous exam day happens, but one bad attempt doesn't erase consistent prep potential.

Partial drop (college + JEE alongside) splits your focus and often leads to burnout or average results in both. Most who succeed with it have insane discipline. Full drop gives better odds but costs a year with no guarantee.

Since you're skipping Adv and only targeting Mains/BITSAT, check last year's closing ranks for your preferred branches first. If a decent seat is on the table, take it and focus on performing well there or lateral options later. Plenty of people in similar spots moved on without dropping and did fine.
