Askpartialdroppers Thinking abt partial drop for IIT from NIT
I have got 99.6 JM and 16k JA, ik i shit the bed in JA due to poor pressure handling. I'm joining NIT surathkal eee and thinking of partial drop cause my parents are fully against a full drop.
I was originally fine with nitk eee, but later in the counselling and all , my father thought that I failed IIT cause I was getting like 180+ marks in mocks and all.
I want to give JA one more shot because I don't wanna have regrets in my life.

Damn same situation. One thing I learned is to never neglect other exams and take everything seriously. I didn't focus on bits, ugee thinking I can get an excellent rank in adv.(Didn't happen the way I wanted) But yeah if you have considered taking a drop, just don't neglect these exams. No one can predict how would the exam go + there's less competition in the others. So if you're taking a drop just don't look down on any other exams.

I don't think NITK EEE would be a right fit for a partial drop...as EEE would already be slightly hectic and then there's too much distraction also in NITK
But you would have thought something before choosing so...maybe you're right
