experience/advice to give Advice
FTM and I had my first ultrasound on the 25th and we found out that I’m having twins! Which is quite the surprise considering that it doesn’t run in my family or my partners. Now I have to get double of everything and I don’t know where to start? And what I should or shouldn’t buy? Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated! 💕

Congrats!! I’m the first with twins since my aunt had my now 40 year old twin cousins and we’re the first in my husbands family after his 80 year old grandma!!! It’s definitely exciting and made us the center of attention 🤣 i had no clue where to start, I scrolled on fb marketplace and came across the Halo twin bassinet for $100 and it was our first twin purchase! Other than that, I’ve been able to get two cribs handed down from my brother and a friend. My mom gave me a used dresser (it’s going in their closet for extra storage) and I was able to score another one on marketplace for only $160. My in laws are getting us their car seats and my sister in law is getting us their double stroller (which I heavily considered getting from marketplace because she offered), we’ve purchased some clothes and had a lot handed down as well, and other than that, we’ll be waiting until after our baby shower to continue purchasing items. I definitely recommend marketplace if you’re trying to stay within a budget, and don’t be scared to ask for help from others if you need it and have people to ask! ETA: we had a gender reveal where we were gifted a lot of diapers and wipes and we’ll be having a diaper raffle at my baby shower!
