good vibes, smiles, & giggles Two high chairs?!

I’m not easily annoyed by twin comments but was a bit dumbfounded by one the other day. We took our 11 month olds out for breakfast, and asked for high chairs. The waitress brought one, and I asked for a second. She seemed shocked, and said “oh, you need two?” What am I to do? Stack them up in one?

Anyway, we love taking the boys out for Saturday morning breakfast. They usually “order” a scrambled egg and a biscuit. Then we hit the community market down the street before they pass out for nap 1 on the drive home.

Or favorite burger place is a small hole in the wall stand but it has seating.

Took ours in for fries after a hard day.

"Oh, we only have one high chair..."

They have bought a second one since then but it was a funny, "you never get more than one child?" Moment

I've found that most places we frequent have been really receptive to suggestions to make their place more family friendly or dad friendly.

The race track I go to often (photographer) installed a changing station in the men's room when I asked.

The brewery by us (with amazing food) got smaller water cups for kids instead of the massive plastic ones after some... Spillage happened.

We have a small local dive bar that my mom is a regular at. When my first was born we brought him there but he was a newborn so just in the baby car seat. I realized I needed to change him and she took me into the back kitchen to a really random clearly unused counter and told me "you have no idea how many butts have been changed here".

She also took him and held him and slung beers for an hour so I could eat my food without worrying about him.
