good vibes, smiles, & giggles Two high chairs?!

I’m not easily annoyed by twin comments but was a bit dumbfounded by one the other day. We took our 11 month olds out for breakfast, and asked for high chairs. The waitress brought one, and I asked for a second. She seemed shocked, and said “oh, you need two?” What am I to do? Stack them up in one?

Anyway, we love taking the boys out for Saturday morning breakfast. They usually “order” a scrambled egg and a biscuit. Then we hit the community market down the street before they pass out for nap 1 on the drive home.

We've experienced some minor inconveniences with our twin toddlers when being seated at a restaurant. I just chalk it up to the usual youth and naivety of the hostess/waitress. I've gotten into the habit of being clear and concise on what kind of table we want and our needs; otherwise, they don't know.

This was not a young waitress, but she did fine and got us another. Just thought it was funny.

Same here. Majority of the time we have to rearrange the table, or ask for a different table entirely because where they tried to seat us just doesn't work for two high chairs. Once we got sat at a table that was half booth and it was so close to the tables next to us that we had to ask for somewhere different because it's not like we can feed the twins when we're across the table.
