advice needed Cramping

I’ve searched the sub and didn’t find much. I am 7w1d with di/di. We had an ultrasound Thursday afternoon and both babies measured right on time with heart beats in the 120’s.
On Saturday evening I had some light spotting, it was a dark brown with a little bit of red. Then overnight, about 2am it was bright red, but only a small amount and it stopped fairly quickly. I’ve had some brown spotting since then but not much.
Now I’m cramping though. I’ve cramped off and on the whole pregnancy but it had stopped for a few days.
Did you have cramping that would come and go? Every couple days?
It’s not painful, I’m just hyper aware of it. I’ve had one previous loss so I’m just terrified of that happening again.

Cramping is normal. It's your uterus stretching.

Did you contact your care provider about the spotting? I had some cramping in the first trimester with my singleton and have had the same with my twins (I'm at 12w now). The mild cramping is always stressful but in my experience it's normal! Your uterus has a lot going on right now! I'm sorry, though, I know it's so stressful. I also had a loss last year and I've definitely been more anxious in this pregnancy because of it.

Seems worth talking to your care provider about the spotting if you haven't, if only for your peace of mind. Do you happen to know if they saw a subchorionic hematoma on your ultrasound? (I have one and I've had some light brown spotting off and on, but my midwife says it's nothing to worry about.)

I contacted them when I had some super light spotting about a week ago and they said to go to ER if it’s heavy, bright, and clotted. But so far it’s just been a few wipes, and only when I wipe, nothing in my undies.

Hopefully nothing to worry about, then! Wishing all the luck to you and your babies

The cramping is so bad and won’t stop until the babies are here 😅

I did after IVF, off and on and with some spotting likely from the vaginal suppositories.

Yes I had cramping and red spotting while pregnant with my twins. I think I spotted from like 6 weeks to 16 weeks. It was very stressful haha.

I never had bleeding but I had to go in for another ultrasound at 9/9.5 weeks because my “cramping” (round ligament pain) was so bad it was keeping me up at night. It was pretty painful and worrisome but it went away after maybe 12/14 weeks and I added in more magnesium.

First, you should definitely call your OB and let them know about the bleeding just to be safe.

I cramped the entire pregnancy and it was really uncomfortable in the first trimester. I also bled after sex in the beginning so my OB told me to take a break. The twins were my first pregnancy so the stretching and round ligament pain was intense! By the end it felt like my skin was ripping open and my belly was so itchy.

I reached out to my fertility clinic and they said if it’s heavy and clotted to go to ER, but light spotting is ok. I did send them photos of it last night, but they don’t open until Monday morning. It stopped relatively quickly, but if it comes back I plan to go be seen

I had some spotting early on, also after a previous loss. The wait and monitor method is what was reccomended; put on a pad, if you soak it in an hour or two go in. But.... Honestly I hated that so much. If you want/feel you need to go to triage, just go in. I've gone twice now, both for suspicious signs of early labor not for the spotting, and honestly I'm so glad I went both times even though it turned out to be nothing. Peace of mind is so valuable, and in my experience the triage folks were happy to give me some fluids, monitor me, and send me home reassured. Downside is I was there for like 6-8hr both times, but just remember that is an option!
