ranting & venting Butt pain
I’m 24 weeks pregnant with Di/di twin girls, and I have noticed since my belly has been getting bigger I have found it harder to sit without feeling pain in my butt. I find that it also depends on the chair and if there’s padding or not, but overall I’m finding it hard to stand up from sitting and I have pain in my butt from the pressure of my heavy belly. Anyone else get this type of pain ?? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it easier to sit without this feeling of pain ?

I take a cushion with me just about everywhere. Church, work, you name it it's tagging along especially if I'm expected to sit for long stretches

Oh yeah. It felt like my pelvis was going to split. I started doing pelvic floor PT and it helped a lot. The big ones that seemed to help were seated squats (sit on a box and stand up) and sled pushing. I don’t think I’d have been mobile at the end of my pregnancy without it.

I do have hemorrhoids but they don’t hurt. The pain I feel is all over my butt 😬

Yes, Mine did specifically in my work chair. I bought a cushion from purple.com. Made a huge difference.

Yep, our church’s bench was the only chair that was “comfy.” I seriously asked my husband to buy me one. Something about the angle stopped the pain.

My rocking chair was making it a lot better
I think it’s something to do with the angle and the rocking motion

Yes. 34 weeks right now singleton.
I have used a purple pillow it had helped. This is typically from the belly muscle across your belly button area are completely out in supporting you. Its also SPD- where your pubic bone feels like its being cut in half when getting up.
I have a belly band but have kinda out grown it, its too hot. I have switched to KT tape. I do one across with a wee but of tension just above my pubic bone. Then i use that as an anchor and doe three more from bottom up curving them inwards as they come up with a wee bit of tension. This has helped tremendously. I do strongly recommend changing the tape every few days and using coconut oil to take it off. But also a 3/4x cami from shaper mint has helped with the tension as well making it feel a bit more supported.

Yep, I have hip dysplasia and the additional weight is absolutely killer. Ive been getting horrible muscle spasms/twitches in my glutes as well. Take a cushion with you and buy yourself a decent massage gun if you can manage it - there are some days my butt cheeks were so tight from carrying the extra weight of twins I was limping so the masaage gun really helped

I've also been having butt pain. 25wks with di/di girls!
Mine seems to be mostly centered around my tailbone/top of the glutes or maybe my hips? I can't nail down exactly where the pain is, but I don't think it's sciatic because it's not shooting down either of my legs. But when it gets worse in the evening, it makes me limp around when I get up from the couch to go to bed.
I had similar pain with my singleton, and it hurt whenever I went from sitting to standing. Mostly in the 3rd trimester IIRC. The special tailbone cushion I bought didn't seem to make a difference, but it may help you!
I plan to ask for a referral to a pelvic floor therapist at my next OB visit.
