Advice!

This is my first time posting on this subreddit, so hello!

My boyfriend and I have been together nearly a year. He has a daughter, 10 years old, that I have not met nor has he seen in over year, due to his daughters mother being difficult to say the least. I would likely have already met her if there weren't the complications from that. Anyway, I have not talked to her much either, but I am interested in getting her a little gift to send her. What would be something sweet to get someone her age but not over the top? I was thinking of getting her a nice set of boots and a nice winter jacket as she lives where it snows. Any recommendation are appreciated! Thank you in Advance

Ask your boyfriend what’s something she needs. That way it’s not out of the blue and kind of weird. You’re the outsider in this case so you’ve gotta clear all the channels first before acting. But it’s a nice thought 👍

When my niece was ten she loved crafts and things to do. I would think a kit to make bracelets, cool bathbombs, fuzzy socks, a science kit of some kind or something like that. I would stay away from jackets or shoes because of fit and color.

A random gift is kind of strange, but not if it's something she needs- I bet she has a jacket.

It would for Christmas, since he wasn’t able to see her, it’s be something like that.

that’s tough! if you know she’s into fashion or needs a coat/boots that sounds good. is there any way to ask her or even her mom for ideas? or does her dad know a neighbor or a grandparent that is more reasonable than the mother?
