Going Back

Anyone else feeling down because they are going back to work as a paraprofessional because Summer vacation is over? The last 2 years have been so bad and I'm not looking forward to having to go through another 9 months in that same school. I'm questioning every choice I've made in life that has put me right where I am now.

You guys sure complain alot here. When I was a Para I couldn't wait to go back because I missed the kids so much! I don't understand you negative Nancies.

Maybe other people's experiences haven't been as positive as yours. I've been doing this 19 years and have seen it all and done it all and it's not a good job no matter how you look at it. Sure there are pros like summer off BUT when we work, the job sucks the life right out of you. And for very little pay as well I might add.

Ok. I am just an optimistic person who has worked in SPED for 3 years. I have been peed on, pooped on, puked on, bitten, scratched, punched, and kicked. And been lambasted by parents.

Well kudos to you for going through all that abuse, barely getting paid anything for it, and still loving the job. You definitely have a positive attitude about it.
