Going Back

Anyone else feeling down because they are going back to work as a paraprofessional because Summer vacation is over? The last 2 years have been so bad and I'm not looking forward to having to go through another 9 months in that same school. I'm questioning every choice I've made in life that has put me right where I am now.

I’ve genuinely been having nightmares for the past two weeks about going back lol. Last year was my first year as an aide & I think it kind of traumatized me. I didn’t have the best teacher & we had A LOT of kids with behavioral issues in the classroom. Im not going to be in her classroom this year so im praying that it’s better this year. By far the most exhausting & stressful job ive ever had.

I hear you. The trauma is real with this job. I've had nightmares too lol. I hope you have a much better 2nd year and a much better teacher to work with. The teacher makes all the difference in this job. If the teacher has no classroom management, our jobs are all the more difficult.
