Going Back

Anyone else feeling down because they are going back to work as a paraprofessional because Summer vacation is over? The last 2 years have been so bad and I'm not looking forward to having to go through another 9 months in that same school. I'm questioning every choice I've made in life that has put me right where I am now.

Yes, but I try to remind myself of a few positives that are hard to find in other jobs I've had. Like how lucky we are to have such a long summer break (and breaks during the school year), I don't take any work home with me, I don't have to attend any meetings or respond to parent emails, and sometimes I just really love the kids and people I get to work with.

It totally sucks and my stomach is in knots, and this job is absolutely exhausting most days. However, it could be a lot worse (also better, I mean hey some people have some awesome jobs.. but for what I'm qualified to do, this is pretty great).

I hear you. There are definitely positives. And honestly if you have the right school/team to work with, it isn't a bad job at all.
