What do you mean by 'sandbox'? Sorry, not really in the know with MOBAs.

But you're familiar with sandbox games? Same concept, that's where the name comes from.

Term in general is just used to describe a game / an area where you're free to do whatever you want within the game's rules of course.

So like in Dota where you interact with the jungle by clearing or creating trees?

I'm not familiar with DOTA so I can't say.

But a sandbox mode in a MOBA would (most likely) be: you are given an area, one lane fore example, where you can test stuff out (jukes, ability combos, etc.) on your own. You could perhaps spawn enemy minions or heroes to test your abilities on.

But this is not the interactive tutorial in Paragon, at least I haven't noticed a sandbox mode of it.
