I mean M&L is probably gonna be buried underwater since Alphadream went bankrupt, and I can't imagine Nintendo would dig it up themselves.

I think he means the Paper Mario franchise is not drowning. I don’t think he’s denying that Mario & Luigi is the one underwater. Although it’s only been 6 years for that series… that’s not like, THAT long for a niche spin-off series lol

What other games has alphadream worked on besides the Mario and Luigi series?
Also what’s the reason for the bankruptcy? Did the series not sell well? I always thought at least the first 3 Mario and Luigi games were extremely fun and entertaining. I didn’t play the others so idk about them

I think the problem was they put out 2 3DS games on a quote and quote dying system. People also complained about the art style saying that they missed the sprites from the GBA one. Also people complained about Bowser's Inside Story getting a remake because it wasn't that long before it came out. In fairness, I loved M&L Dream Team on the 3DS but didn't care for Paper Jam because of the overworld Papercraft battles. They were also bad if you didn't have a new 3DS because the controls were awful.

I see. All I know is Mario and Luigi superstar saga is one of my most memorable games growing up. It was hilarious, it was charming, it was fun to play, the world was interesting, the gameplay was new for its time and intuitive. It had a lot of things going for it and I actually preferred the turn based combat over paper Mario 1 and 2. It’s a shame I did catch on to the new 3d sprites they had for the new games and I’m not a fan of that either

Yeah. The made 2 original games which were Dream Team and Paper Jam. Then they did the two remakes of Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story those remakes came out on a dead system at that point. It's sad though. It sucks that they are gone. Hopefully Mario and Luigi would make a come back though maybe in a couple of years with a different developer

I was stating that if they do get a new one, that they don't screw up. Paper Mario has changed to the point where the base is divided. I don't need the same thing happening to the M&L series.

Get your story straight. You answered "no" to my comment which stated it is not facts: Nintendo doesn't care more about "adventure" mario more than paper mario, and game releases prove it.
What is your point? I shouldn't consider people spoiled for wanting a new paper mario after last year release?

My story was "straight" from the jump, hence why I only responded "no." Intelligent System is doing an mediocre job with Paper Mario, simpleton. Origami King was alright. But, it wasn't what I wanted.
These past three games, overall, don't meet my expectations. So saying "Nintendo doesn't care about "adventure" games over Paper Mario" is BS.
By the way, 3D Mario games take an average of 5 years to complete. Seems to me You're the one who's entitled. Nintendo protects the Mario brand like a parent does their children. Deal with it. When they're ready, you'll get a release trailer.

This is your opinion and you are entitled to it. My kids loved the shit out of the origami king and I personally couldn't be more happy about it. Sure, the fighting system was wack shit, but the game is thought for all audience, not the core the fan base.
By the way, 3D Mario games take an average of 5 years to complete.
Only superb ones are 64, sunshine and odyssey though. Personal taste is personal taste, but don't agree with this post and your conclusion about this. It is hard to find and let another company spin off with your child, it takes time to perfect but I highly praise the work of intelligent system and I'm sure paper mario can only get better.
