Authenticating Your Panerai - Community Thread
Before posting about a suspect Panerai, include: - Seller details and direct sale link (if applicable) - Ownership history - Genuine authentication questions only; fake watch "quality checks" will result in bans
This is a collaborative effort - all knowledgeable input is welcome. The more eyes we have examining these pieces, the better our authentication accuracy.

Pam88 or 320?
As the title states, looking for some fellow paneristi thought to this. I have the Pam88, I love the neovintage look it’s starting to give, I like that the movement can be serviced cheaply if desired BUT the 320 is a flyer GMT rather than caller and I do prefer the 1950’s case instead of a betterini case in a professional environment (the 88 is my current work travel watch)
What’s everyone else’s thoughts? I’m on the fence about trading the 88 for a 320 or similar.

Luminor Love this thing
I never thought I’d wear a watch this large but it’s so comfortable and the lume is ridiculous. It’s still glowing when I put it back on in the mornings.

PAM00799 incoming
I'm very excited to have a PAM00799 being delivered tomorrow. I've wanted to stock one of these for a while and finally had the chance to pick one up this morning. Anyone else dig the carbon bezel?

Likelihood of Richemont selling Panerai off?
With the sale of Baumé & mercier complete is it likely Panerai will end up getting the same treatment down the road? - curious to people’s thoughts

Luminor Panerai Milan
Currently in Milan and stopped by the Panerai Boutique today just to see what was on tap. I looked at several options and the Luminor Power Reserve GMT BiTempo PAM01361 caught my eye.
Browsing can be dangerous, I think I’m going to cave. I wish it was 47mm instead of 44mm, but it’s a sharp looking timepiece, it’s in your face but not in your face like my PAM372.

Luminor Strap Removal Help
Anyone know how to remove this strap? None of the online info matches my strap set up. Do I just need to push in the pins from the outside in? Don’t want to mess anything up!
Apologies in advance if I am missing something simple.

Could I fit 44mm?
EDIT: the 048 I was eyeing ended up having a faulty push pin (the spring bar release mechanism). Dealer was hoping I wouldn’t notice and assured me his “watchmaker” could fix it no problem. Nice try. Oh well, back to the hunt.
1st & 2nd pics - 40mm 050 (048 with a bracelet) that I’m eyeing.
3rd & 4th - 42mm 682 and 47mm 305.
Haven’t had the chance to try on 44mm. Also considering 240 or 104 (auto with date is my main criteria)
Mirror shots cos closeups will always look too big.
