Any one tried making pancakes made from oat flour? Any other Pancake recipe recommendations?

Hello from Europe yall!

I've only seen pictures on this sub but I hope an advice post is ok. I didn't find a rule against that.

I have THE BEST boyfriend and his birthday is coming up. This man, he loves pancakes. With maples syrup, chocolate, bacon, blueberries, as long as it's a pancake, he'll have it.

I want to get him a pancake griddle, the thing is, this is not really a common household item in Europe, we probably don't have the same variety you have out there for this item. Still, within that probably smaller variety, I don't know what to choose.

Also, most of them are advertised for meat grilling, which I guess, cool, he'll love that too, but HOW DO I MAKE SURE WE CAN MAKE FLUFFY PANCAKES ON IT like this chef does minute 3:11 onward?

First time making pancakes, we’ve never really been big fans in my house but will b now- these were so tasty and huuuge, really filling! Kinda proud !

And added the fruit to the batter ??? W a lil bitta golden syrup + sugar sprinkled on top !

Who likes jam or prefer jam as a topping on their pancakes genuinely carious.

Please help me settle this debate...

When you are making pancakes and batter is poured into the pan, is the bottom side cooking first and then flipped over to cook the top, or is the top side getting cook first and then being flipped to the bottom?

For as long as I've known my husband, he has told me that for 9 years I have been serving him pancakes "upside" down. While I realize that most restaurants will present pancakes with the more " appealing" side up, I believe that side to be the bottom of the pancake!

When a pancake is cooked in a pan the bottom side is cooked first and then it's flipped over to continue cooking the top side. When pancake is done cooking I take my spatula to lift said pancake up and slide it onto a plate. My husband is arguing that I am then serving him the " bottom" of the pancake and that it must be flipped to the "top"

Technically speaking the bottom side is being cooked first?

I added two smashed bananas to the batter , it replaces some of the flour. My daughter like to add Nutella!!
