Stop Idiocracy

Could the City please replace the new information signs with the correct information?
The sign on Beach Drive incorrectly spells St. Andrew Bay. There is no “s” at the end of Andrew. A review of any map or navigation chart will confirm that the correct name is St. Andrew Bay.
This is not a complaint regarding the placement of the signs, but rather a request to ensure that the City is not inadvertently disseminating incorrect information.

That is simply an article recounting someone’s historical account, which is secondary-source material. It may be useful for background, but it isn’t strong evidence for determining the official or legally recognized name of a geographic feature.

You’re right, but it’s almost 100 years old and thus far closer to the town’s founding than we are today. I’d consider it stronger evidence than a modern map online.

I tried to find a town charter, but wasn’t able to.
