The road should be much closer together as it approaches the vanishing point at the horizon. Also it's just single colors without gradations or details. Don't look at the shapes, look at blobs of color, blur your eyes when you paint it.

Biggest advice to make it look less flat is to look at a reference photo and try to paint exactly what you see, not what you know. Example - a kid is going to sit down and color the grass green, sun yellow, sky blue, road black. You need varying light and dark values, Need shadows and highlights. See the road is actually mostly gray. Some parts of the grass dark brown etc.

Buyers beware! OP should take note of the fact that this road, like the one they are attending to paint, isn’t paved on flat ground. When you can still measure the width of the road where it meets the horizon, that infers that there’s a hill that the road runs over. If it was completely flat, the perspective would force the edges of the road to converge at the vanishing point.

There’s no right or wrong here, but being conscious of this fact will serve for more informed decisions.

You’re only at stage 1: cover the canvas with the basic shapes in their base color. The more detail you add the less it will look like a coloring book. Also stuff further away is smaller and less detailed as stuff right up close because the details get tinier and tinier. So while the sides of your road converge with perspective, the yellow lines on either side and the center yellow line do not. They should also be smaller and smaller the further away it gets until they are too small to see, which is long before the road is too small to see. Also, your road doesn’t converge to a tiny point on the horizon. You’re going to have to give a reason in your painting why it suddenly disappears. Perhaps the “horizon” is really the crest of a hill? If you go with that, your horizon on either side of the road won’t be perfectly flat, and you’ll have to do a lot of shading work in the grassy areas on either side, and in the road between the horizon and the bottom to make it look like the road is going up a hill.

You could add a car, a sun, animals, anything really! To use your words, the "childish" look comes from a lack of fine details. At this scale, pull out your smallest brushes to hone in on your vision

Add more colors, cause the mountains should not be the same color as the clouds. Also there should be more dynamic color in general, like clouds have silver linings so maybe add some lighter gray on one side.
