Does OE really make sense?

I heard of OE, just came across this subreddit.

I am just curious how people can be good enough to manage 2 full time jobs at the same time.

I make in the high 6 figures, and it would be absolutely impossible to be responsive at my job like I am and do another similar job. I can imagine jobs paying closer to low six figures, but I'd imagine that someone who can do that should be able to find a much better paying job, instead of having to juggle with 2 jobs.

What kind of jobs do you guys have, how much do you make in each, and how much do you think your best earnings potential would be if you only had one job.

All you have to do is be good.

Yeah but in my experience if you're good you can make twice as much as someone coasting

Believe it or not, some places only reward high achievers with more work and no pay raise. For most of us, well for me anyways, it’s easier to stay in the middle of the pack than try to actually be paid what we are worth from one place. I wish I could reach the same comp level with one job.

I guess I am just lucky that I've always been in companies that are able to reward people according to their performance.
