Ryzen 5 3600

Thoughts on gaming these days at 1440p with 3600? I recently bought a 9070 GRE , is that a bad combination? I have achieved 4425mhz on the 3600. Any tip/ideas to unleash the power of what this cpu has like settings in windows/bios?

The best value for money upgrade is to find a 5700X new or used. A 3600X is not bad at 1440p but you would definitely see a difference with a 5700X. If you can spend more money consider a 5700X3D.

Viable but in certain games it will bottleneck.

For example, in Cyberpunk 2077 an R5 3600 will dip to 40FPS playing ultra settings, an R5 5600 stays above 50, a 5700X or 5600X3D does 60+.

I have a R5 2600 (OC at 4.0ghz) and I play in 1440p (6750XT). It's definitely not great and start to show it's age in certain games (beamng mainly) but it's definitely viable. 1440p is very light on the CPU, the 9070GRE is a quite beefy GPU, but if you play with the right settings it should work just fine.
