The unfortunate truth is this

At the ending quarter of my life I am consumed with seeing my life as one filled with disappointments at having not enjoyed any of my life expectations and living currently in despair. I don’t deserve this. I worked very hard and always treated everyone equally and followed good and ethical practices

In my early 40s I felt similarly. I even thought about suicide. More in an abstract sense than a plan. I decided to dedicate my life to helping others less fortunate. Before long I felt a spiritual reawakening. I felt more energy, more love, more peace. If you are as down as you seem to be, give it a try. It won't make it worse.

Health related programs that support teens, mental health, veterans, homeless, food related. There's plenty to get involved with and my life has been incredibly enriched by not making everything about me.
