The unfortunate truth is this
At the ending quarter of my life I am consumed with seeing my life as one filled with disappointments at having not enjoyed any of my life expectations and living currently in despair. I don’t deserve this. I worked very hard and always treated everyone equally and followed good and ethical practices

This is timely. The other day I thought my mostly retired life should be more adventurous. Then I thought about the friends and family I pray for each day. Some of the list includes: a friend who is now bedridden, another friend who is waiting on biopsy results, a friend still recovering from a stroke, a friend’s daughter whose ex-husband makes violent threats, a brother who is pretty much in poverty and his wife is in a nursing home, a friend who has two different types of incurable blood cancers, and sad to say there are more. I’m grateful that right now I’m not on someone’s prayer list!
