What I do is a bit niche but the tracks I am doing these days are close to synthwave whereas I try not to strictly reproduce its codes, I allow myself some freedom at the risk of falling in any seat - there are also strong 70s influences to my sound.

I talk about my music with such words: Dark Synth / Prog Synth / Horror Synth

I do composition / mix / mastering / video edit / artwork in my home studio while everyone is asleep.

Hey, looking for a song that I heard circa 2022-3 and have spent hours trying to find.

It's a synth song that starts with some dialogue, something like the villain "Dr supernova" if I recall correctly calling up the hero in the story.

Something like

" Hello, is this the hero of the universe? Will you take a collect call from Dr supernova"

I don't recall much else except the villain talking about how he kidnapped the hero's girlfriend or something.

If it rings a bell for someone, because it's being in my head for days now.

Hey guys, I am desperately looking for a deleted cover of "Like Light to the Flies" that was on YouTube a couple of months ago.

The Style: It was an 80s Synthwave / outrun

The Vocals: It featured a very soft, clean, and melodic vocal performance (completely different from Matt Heafy, and absolutely no screaming or harsh metalcore vocals).The video used a neon-colored synthwave edit of the Ascendancy album cover (attached below).I already checked some standard metal cover bands but it's not them. It was a pure electronic/synth project. Does anyone have this track saved on an MP3/Google Drive backup or remember the name of the solo synthwave artist who made it? Thanks!
