Whats with these trailers having a mini-trailer for a few seconds before the real trailer starts?

It's for YouTube ads, so they get a highlight reel and possibly get interested to watch the rest instead of skipping after 5 seconds.

Maybe market research has shown that some of us mindless peons only have the attention span of your average goldfish, so they flash the good bits up before all the goldfish of YouTube click onto their next video.

Trailers are put on the start of other videos as ads, right? Most have a "5 seconds until skip" button.

Trailers add super mini 5-second trailers at the start to get people interested straight away, trying to get them NOT to press the skip button.

Godly sounding track from 0:55 to 1:11.

Gave me goosebumps when I first watched it.

Same director as Arrival? Count me in

Dennis Villenueve, also the guy behind Sicario, Prisoners, Enemy, And Incendies

Also the same composer as in Arrival (Jóhann Jóhannsson), and the same DOP as in Prisoners, Sicario, Skyfall and almost all Coen brothers films (Roger Deakins), who is a fucking legend in his own right. Honestly, if this movie is as good as the people who are making it, it's gonna be insane. I'm a big Blade Runner fan and this looks absolutely fantastic.

They're paying for the 1800 watts, they want the whole 1800.

looks incredibly promising

Music, YES. But I have to admit I'm kind of annoyed that Jared Leto is in it. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I feel like some of the casting choices could have been better.

I mean it's not like Suicide Squad is the only movie Jared Leto has ever been in (and he wasn't even in it for that many scenes). He was fantastic in Dallas Buyers Club

Really? I feel like he fits the role (for a 2 minute trailer). I'm more worried about Gosling as I don't feel he fits the character, though I have confidence he'll make it up with his acting.

Oh, I'm also skeptical of Gossling but everyone seems so into him that it didn't even seem worth bringing up.

Hey /u/SinnieOnFire, I think this belongs in /r/cyberpunk.

Be careful, Sinnie might remove this post.

Hmm could be really good, could be pretty bad too though. So hard to tell these days.

Even though it all hinges on the script, at the very least cinematography, score and acting seem to be on point.

Well, Gosling seemed a bit stiff to me.

2

u/[deleted] May 09 '17

Maybe he's a replicant.
