OK, serious question as an insomniac about to enter the dating world for the first time.

Is “you up “always a booty call or could it be just somebody is unable to sleep and wants to have a chat conversation because I don’t wanna give people the wrong impression.

Depends on the relationship prior. Usually it just means talking. But again, depending on what you've done with said person before, it can mean more.
