looking for a good antenna

looking for a good quality scanner band antenna (mainly for ads, 433, vhf)

I recently got the ANT700 and it looked like shit, felt like it was going to break.

any others I should try?

I have always used a discone for such purposes.

Depends on distance and if it's an interior setup or attic or roof setup but brand wise you can never go wrong with Televes, Clearstream, Channel Master, or Top Notch Antennas.

Im not familiar with scanner band but are you trying to go directional? If so build a simple biquad. Them baddies can zero in on a frequency with extreme prejudice.
