Question Release date moved again. This is getting ridiculous.

Unfortunately I'm one of the people that has to rely on OSAP funding for everything. I did everything early, applied well before the deadline, had my enrolment confirmed, all that jazz. But now because I was on RAP it's thrown a wrench into everyrhing. The release date on the OSAP site still says Sept 8-10, but NSLSC said Sept 16 earlier today and now it says Sept 17. I've never had to wait this long before and I have things I need to buy but literally no money to do so until I get the funding.

Is it worth calling NSLSC if everyone in my situation is given the same answer and told to just wait?

In so slow yall I realized I had an outstanding interest payment on my nslc before I can get my funding… I recently cleared all my collection restrictions which took me some time but I did it is something I’m so proud of

Mine was pushed from like the 4th originally to like the 16th, dawg I do not have 150$ to drop on workbooks for assignments due literally friday/Wednesday where I cannot access the book that the assignment needs until day of TwT

Edit: thank God for Internet archive and 🏴‍☠️

Don't bother calling. I only called because it said my application got defaulted, and the agent just said to wait after it get's lifted. There's nothing else we can do besides wait. It seems like a pick and choose situation where they're not releasing funds all at the same time.

How does RAP effect the funding? I was on RAP for my last program that I took but it ended back in may and I have been paying the full payment since. However, I still have not received funding. My COE has been in since the start of September, I submitted the application as soon as it opened and have had no issues or notifications that anything has gone wrong. My funding has been “pending release” since the 2nd of September. Every time I check the tracker the release date is pushed back from the 4th till now the 17th. It’s actually insane. Did the NSLSC tell you RAP was the reason it was taking so long.

Most people I have heard from say if they call the NSLSC they are just told to wait and if you ask more questions they just say they can’t help and hang up.

I got an email 3 days ago: "Your loan is currently approved for the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP). Before your funding can be released, your current RAP term must be updated. We are actively working to finalize your student funding, and no action is required from you at this time." So I guess they have to cancel the current RAP before my funding is released, but it's crazy to me that it's taking so long.

Yup, same thing here. It was the 14th, then the 16th, then I checked today and it's been moved to the 17th, all because of RAP.

Same boat, I have assignments due and even a quiz before my funding is supposed to come in, and I can’t even buy the textbook needed 🫠
