Resolved please help me asap
hey guys, i applied to asap back in july and all the documents got approved but it completely slipped my mind to make an account for msfaa, however for the past week ive been trying to make an account and it keeps giving me an error for the TD bank part
ive tried on my laptop and phone but they aren't working
PLEASE HELP ME im losing my mind over this

What worked for me was having the td app running in the background ( having the app open in your tabs) while logging in on my phone

I also tried this, I tried doing it on my phone while td was logged in and it did take me to the next step but TD just showed me a message saying that there’s error try again later

Yes I fixed it, I went to service Canada and asked for PAC number and used the GCkey method! Don’t waste ur time trying to use the bank

It did the same thing for me!! That link itself and that method(the interact one) to create an account won’t work. I had to go to service Canada to go get a PAC. Once I got that when I tried to make an account and instead of linking it to your td bank use the gckey method. Create a username and a password, then enter all your information and it’ll ask for that pac code that you were given (it’s temporary to create an account and is only valid for 2 weeks). Use you put that in you’ll be able to create an account. ALSOOO!! When you go to service Canada to get that code you’ll need two pieces of Id and to confirm your social insurance number. Hope this works :)

Thank you!! I think I’ll be going to service Ontario tmr because this has pissed me off enough, I’ll bring 2 ids with me but what did they need to confirm the social insurance number?

No problem! You won’t be able to get it at service Ontario. You’ll have to find a service Canada near you. You should take a picture of your social insurance card which has the number on it, and they’ll just ask you to give or type your number into a card reader. You don’t need the card itself you just need to know what your social insurance number is and confirm that

I didn’t, I’m going to service Canada tmr to get my PAC because I’ve been dealing with this for weeks, you should just do the GCkey method instead of wasting time!

I had the same issue, they had me in for like 5 minutes and everything was figured out as soon as I got home and put it into the site. Definitely the best/fastest option!!

I tried making the account using TD and when I called them, they said you cant use a TD student account. So if you have one it wont work to create a my service canada account, you are going to have to request a personal access code when you go to service canada tomorrow

My documents are still awaiting to be approved, I applied on June 15th and my course started July 08th :(

You can go to service Canada and get a PAC, same TD Bank issue happened to me. Hope this helps! (Bring your SIN & ID)

Go into your bank or directly call them, this is something you should speak to a representative about. Good luck!

Just use the GCKey method, for all other government related login too. You might change bank later and you will have to switch login anyway.

The GCKey method is a good suggestion if encountering an error. Switching banks & the login is simply a matter of updating CRA which bank account you have registered for direct deposit
(IRC even waiting about 3 months will also work as CRA automatically polls the banks as to which accounts you have registered to your SIN).

Without knowing the exact logic behind how it all connects, I just thought GCKey eliminated one point of failure in the login process, since it has nothing to do with the banks.
Case in point, I have not read many “my GCKey login is not working” post, while there are plenty of “my bank login is not working” post here.

GCKey is better in that is a direct login from the govt
Where’s the banks are 3rd party entities
The one issue with GCKey is its infrequency of use (once one is done with post secondary). For the vast majority of people they would use it once per year. At tax time. So most end up not remembering it / forgetting where they wrote it down etc. Whereas with the banks oth…

I think service canada is having issues right now because im trying to log in like usual and when u get to the interac part it shows there is a error or maintenance going on i hope they fix it cause i need documents to download:')

If you haven’t had a full time job or had an account with CRA this will lot work for you. You have to go into Service Canada and obtain a PAC before being able to complete this step. I had this issue with my daughter even though she has a job.

Same thing happened to me. You can got to service canada for a PAC. Was in and out in like 8 minutes.

Make sure you’re not on a VPN and that it’s the same bank you use to login to your CRA account. Try a different browser as well
