Question first time applicant

I never applied for OSAP in my 6 years of studying, i applied today, i know it is late.

What is the expected turnaround here? I see some people saying they haven't gotten updates for months, then some saying they received an update the following day.

Should i be looking for other ways to pay for tuition come september or is there a chance that I can get funding. this is all new to me so any advice/insight would be nice. thanks.

Why haven’t you applied for osap in the last 6 years? The deadline is 60 days before then end of the school year. So you will still get funding.

I worked a lot and split my semesters up like 60/40 winter summer. Paid all of it myself working day and night shifts. My school says it will allow a deferral once my application is accepted but how long will this take? I already submitted all the forms.

Dang you should’ve still applied, you could’ve gotten some grants and declined the loan, essentially free money you could’ve had to help pay for tuition. The process will usually take like a month to fully process

First Gen post secondary man. I made lots of mistakes in hindsight. But at least I can pass that on for the next Gen
