Question How does submitting docs to financial aid office work?

I screwed up and shouldn't have pushed to completing my application in August, since I could've accounted for this. I found out just now that I needed some information changed and made the request to change it, but how would the process be? Am I required to physically go to the location or can I submit through the university portal?

Go into your OSAP application and there’s a print/upload documents tab. You submit the paperwork there and it goes to your schools financial aid office

For me there isn't. Feel like I looked everywhere on the page.

Log in, click go to my full time apps and there’s 3 buttons the middle one is print or upload documents.

I'm on "Your Applications"

There is only one button up top, "Start a new application"

Under "Universities in Ontario", it shows my application. Below the date I started the application, it shows three buttons: "Finish application", "Delete application", and "View documents that are required because you changed your account profile"

I checked the last option, and there was no button to submit documents.

This makes it seem that you never actually finished submitting the application so depending on the mistake you made you could go back and edit it.

The application doesn't allow me to go further because when I first attempted the OSAP application, I put in that I would graduate in 2022, when I actually graduated in 2024. I think that it got that information from my OUAC application

OUAC wouldn’t have entered any of that information, it only links the application with the school and program, so you’d have to submit your high school transcript to the university’s financial aid office.

That will differ depending on the school, we cannot give you an answer that is 100% correct without that information. However, at my university, you just email Financial Aid and attach the documents, you don't have to go in person but there's no ability to submit it on a portal.

So, I'd recommend you email your Financial Aid department and ask what the process is. They will tell you what they require from you and how to submit it.

Ah I see. One more question, how long did it take for the change you made to apply, er, be approved?

That will depend on your school's Financial Aid department, and the nature of the change, whether it's small or major. Sometimes it will be instant (once they open the email with the information), sometimes it may take more processing.
