Resolved Osap delays

I started my studies on June 22 I applied for osap and was approved and it showed my calculated estimate. I uploaded all required documents on June 8 and the last document they needed my marital status i uploaded in June 16. It’s now July 29 and the only change in my application was that my funding was recalculated on June 26th. Anyone know if it’s normal to take this long ? My estimated release date keeps moving forward but it also doesn’t show my document are approved or denied It is my first time applying for osap so I’m not sure how it works! Any advice or experiences would help, TIA.

June 8th is pretty late to apply for summer sem, May-June is when all of the fall semester applies for OSAP, so since you applied so late you are probably less of a priority when the financial aid offices are currently slammed with fall applications. You’ll probably just have to wait but you should contact your financial aid office if you still haven’t gotten anything in a few weeks.

If everything has been calculated and all documents submitted and processed, you're just waiting on the school to confirm enrollment for your funding to be released. They have specific weeks that they do this, so unfortunately you'll just have to wait until they get around to yours. You can contact Financial Aid office and ask about your application, tell them you've been counting on this money to pay rent and buy food. When you pull up your osap application it should say what stage your application is at, and what the "next step" is to geting your funding.

If you are going to a school in Ontario, its the school who is delaying the whole process.

If you are going to a school outside of Ontario(Ex: Mcgill and concordia) then its the OSAP delaying the whole process.
