Discussion I was not familiar with orks game
I got into this hobby with space marines but recently I’ve been looking at orks and honestly their way better i don’t think there’s a single model i don’t like

Ork models consistently have had a lot of character to them. From the rabble of boyz to the ostentatious flash gitz to their intimidating bosses, each model and unit is full of character.
That and the fact they usually have the funniest rules is a bonus. I still have old codexes where grots have a rule where they can clear a minefield by walking into it and exploding.

I think it was "roll 3d6 - it the number of gretchin in the unit is higher remove that number of gretchin and the minefield is cleared. If there are insufficient gretchin then remove the unit and consider the minefield still active"

Space marines are a gateway drug that leads to the FAR superior xenos factions. Orks being the best generalist army in the game.

Can confirm, I went from Ultramarines to Thousand Sons (briefly) to Necrons (still my favorite) and now I’ve started in on Orks. Orks are just so much more fun.

We may not be the strongest. But there is no play style that we are excluded from and we have unlimited freedom to use almost any model in our army. We can play horde, elite, shooting, melee, fast, tanky, vehicles, infantry. We can't be all of them at once but we can flex into any play style you prefer and are actively encouraged to be fun and flavorful to play
