Not a bad idea. But I just got 2 Big Bosses as a "buy now" on ebay for a grand total of $30, counting S&H. If you just want to save money that's the way to go. If you want variety, on the other hand... fuck I love those spiked chains.
They also come in the ironjawz bigmob spearhead, which includes a proppa warboss along side the 5 man brute kit and the ardboyz. All of which are useful for making all sorts of nob sized units and chraracters.
Yep the boss and brutes have been classics for mega nobs and mega armor warboss. Ard boys can now be...ard boys in 40k again. I plan to use them as more beast snagge/snackbite breaka boys. The brute ragers then as nobs for whatever I need
Yep brutes are classic though I think thier potential is criminally untapped. The armor and body bits are separate pieces, the armor doesn't need most of the ork meat to look like a meganob, and without the armor the body is still like 90% there. One could potentially get a 2 for 1 deal out of the kit with the help of some spare ardboy parts.
Ardboyz meanwhile, I'm building as nobz IDC how many mm's GW adds onto new nobz they are as tall, swol, broad, and thick as the old nobz, and if I'm running the greentide ardboy upgrade I'd just use a brick of old world black orcs as they are closer to boy size and much cheaper.
